The Fluidity of Perception

My work explores the fluidity of perception. As our memories, ideas, and beliefs morph over time they become mere shadows of any original landscape. To communicate this I combine interior and exterior imagery, effectively crating a fictionalized, dreamlike, and subconscious space, and then obscure large sections of it with patterning. This multi-dimensional and chaotic space I feel accurately describes our incomplete understanding of our continually changing psyche.
